Venice and the Islands
Venice, a city known throughout the world for its many wonders, presents itself in all its beauty thanks to its splendid natural conformation and magnificent history. Walking through the allies of Venice is like crossing a real open-air museum and it will be pleasant to admire the ancient palaces, St. Mark's Square, the bridges and the black gondolas during a walk through the centre or on a ferry ride.
Venice conceals within it also the wonderful islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello. Murano is the most famous among the Venetian islands; in fact, glass is still being manufactured here and it is possible to visit the famous glassmakers' museum.
Burano is instead a fishing centre and is the most characteristic place where you can still find the original spirit of Venice.
Torcello is the ancient capital of the Venice lagoon. Isolated among the deserted sandbanks, it is ten minutes by boat from Burano. To visit are the Estuary Museum and the famous and suggestive Devil's Bridge in Torcello.

The city of Chioggia is a real gem, all to explore. Like Venice, Chioggia is crossed by canals and bridges and for this fact it is also called "Little Venice". A walk across the bridges and canals of the town will make you appreciate all the charm that this small and beautiful city offers. Do not miss the Corso del Popolo, the many churches, museums, monuments and Piazza Vigo, with its fascinating bridge.
During the day or in the evening it is possible to make excursions into the lagoon of Chioggia through the canals aboard the historical and typical boats of our city. With the same boats, you can reach the Fort of San Felice near the dam of Chioggia or the island of Pellestrina.
From Hotel Sole, it is easy to reach Chioggia, thanks to the public bus that stops right outside the hotel. Or you can ride bike along the cycle path that runs along our wonderful beach, crosses the centre of Sottomarina, goes over the Ponte dell'Isola dell'Unione bridge that connects Sottomarina to Chioggia and then leads to the centre of the historic centre of Chioggia: Corso del Popolo.

Nordio Forest
From Sottomarina, in the direction of Ravenna, you can reach the Nordio Forest, a splendid nature reserve with typical Mediterranean vegetation and the breeding ground of some splendid species of birds.
Venetian Villas
While staying at Hotel Sole you can also see the splendid Venetian Villas, a heritage of over 5000 villas that can be admired thanks to a boat trip along the river Brenta.
The 5 historical cities
Worth seeing are also five historical cities of excellence in the Veneto area. We are talking about Padua, Treviso, Verona, Rovigo and Vicenza. Each of the towns deserves to be visited for their unique historical and cultural characteristics, for the ancient palaces and monuments and for their typical food and wine of great value.
Fishing for tourists
Among the many activities that you can do, not to be missed is an excursion on board a typical fishing boat that will allow you to cross the lagoon and at the same time admire the historical natural beauty of Chioggia. On board you will also have the chance to taste typical products of the sea as well as local products.
The seabed
In Chioggia, you can admire the characteristic "tegnùe" seabed. They are in fact carbonate organogenic rocks, i.e. built by marine organisms, generally superimposed on previous hard substrates formed for the consolidation of sands. Divers who dive in this area can admire this unique habitat within the Mediterranean Sea.
